Swami Chidananda Puri

Pujya Swami Chidananda Puri accepted Sannyasa Deeksha from Brahmaleena Parama Pujya Swami Vidyananda Giriji Maharaj, 10th Acharya of Kailasashramam, Rishikesh on the Sivaratri day of 1989 as a disciple of Brahmaleena Parama Pujya Swami Vimalananda Puriji Maharaj, 2nd Acharya of Madhavanandashram, Mahemdabad, Kheda, Gujarat.

Swami Chidananda Puri established Advaithashramam in the rural village of Kolathur, Kozhikode district in Kerala in 1992 in the land donated by Sri Mangalasseri Narayana Swami. Since then, Swami Chidananda Puri is the head of Advaithashramam as the Patron of Sri Vallorakkavu Kshetra Samithi. Advaithashramam is working as a Bhrahma Vidya Peethom, a centre of Vedanta studies.

Swami Chidananda Puri is also the Founder and Managing Trustee of Sri Sankara Charitable Trust, which is running many Ashramams at different parts of Kerala, actively working as Centers of Vedanta studies & Sanatana Dharma and service activities. He is also the head of Madhavanandashramam, Mahemadabad, Gujarat and the Managing Trustee of Madhvanandashram Gosala Trust, Mahemadabad.
